Aspen Veterinary Surgery is an RCVS Accredited practice and is also listed as a veterinary nurse training facility. The website mentions online new-pet registration and ongoing “VIP plans” intended to spread the cost of preventative care (no prices listed).
From the latest reviews, owners often describe calm, gentle handling during consultations (including for a new puppy) and vets who take time to explain options (for example, talking through the benefits of neutering after a cat was brought in with a lump). A recurring negative theme is strict enforcement of lateness/appointment policies, with several owners saying they were turned away for being 5–10 minutes late and describing the front-desk interaction as rude; some also mention long waits to be seen despite arriving on time.

Really lovely visit today. I bought my cat in after noticing a lump on her. Naturally I was worried but I felt at ease as soon as I walked in to the surgery. The vet was so nice and luckily my cat is ok. The Vet talked me through all the benefits of getting her neutered which I had been hesitant to do before now but now I have all the information and have talked it though with someone I am confident this is the right thing to do and will be booking her in. Thank you so much ☺️

an unfortunate experience with them. they cancelled my appointment for being 5 minutes late even though I was in the policy timeframe. It was times when I had to wait even 30 min to be seen even if there were no people waiting. And this time the same nobody was waiting so they could kept my appointment.

Very unhelpful and slightly stuck up receptionist/nurse at the practice yesterday. I came into my appointment 10 mins late as my uber car was delayed and cancelled on me, I had to re order another one and that delayed me. My cat Archie was having his annual injection. I booked this appointment over a month ago by the way. So not very fast in getting appointments there. Must have too many clients and not enough vets. They always have about 3/4 nurses milling around. Anyway I was told my appointment would have to be rescheduled as the vet was too busy. Baring in mind it was me and one other person in the waiting room, so rushed off their feet. I found it laughable in all the years I'll attended there I have never been seen at my appointment time and normally have to wait 20 mins at the very least. But I have never complained and said I have work and need to go asap. It seems it's totally fine to make you wait around, but god forbid you are running slightly late. She asked if I wanted to rescheduled and I said no I rather take my business elsewhere and could you remove both my cats from your system. She said of course I will do that now and I left. It was an annual injection how long does that take to stick a needle in his neck....it doesn't even need a vet to do it. I'm sure a nurse is qualified to do it. But anyway completely unhelpful practice, as I said them delaying you all the time is completely fine, but I understand they have sick animals that might need help, so I don't complain. You just have to wait your turn. But it seems it's one rule for them and another one for paying customers. So avoid.

I have just had my 1st consultation with my puppy Coco at the vets! What a wonderful calm, experience she and I have have had!! 😃 😊 First impressions really do count! First we were greeted by the lovely staff at the reception desk. The reception area itself, smelt so lovely fresh and spotlessly clean! The vet was absolutely lovely! I was listened to and the vet was lovely, patient and gentle with my pup. I was recommended by my neighbour after a not so good experience elsewhere and wish I had found this vets before! I rate this higher than a 5 star More like 10 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 +++++ Very impressed! Well done ✔️

Disgraceful and inexcusable treatment. I arrived 5 minutes late to my appointment (due to traffic), which is within the late policy timeframe, only to be refused service by an unbelievably rude and dismissive receptionist. She claimed I was 6 minutes late and used that as an excuse not to see my dog, who has been a patient at this vets for over 10 years. When I expressed serious concern for my dog’s wellbeing, I was met with zero empathy and told to “go to another vet.” This wasn’t just unprofessional, it was rude. My dog is now suffering because this woman decided that policy was more important than providing care. This vets has clearly lost sight of what it means to look after animals and the people who love them. I will never return and strongly advise others to stay far away from this place if you value proper care, basic decency, or respect.

I had a wonderful experience at aspen vets for my cat's checkup last week. Maddy Eustace who examined my cat, was absolutely lovely. She was incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive, making the whole process smooth and stress free. Her genuine care and professionalism were greatly appreciated. Highly recommend!

I love having my pugs registered here! Aspen are 1,000% better than my previous vets. They're helpful, compassionate and really take the time to listen to your concerns. One of my girls was injured during lockdown and I ran round there with her in my arms - they took her and checked her straight away and even let me come inside and calm myself down. They even respond to my emails! I would recommend them, but I know they are often at full capacity.
